APPLIANCE REVIEW: GE 4.8 CU. FT. CAPACITY WASHER WITH FLEXDISPENSE

Here at Woodcocks, we understand that choosing a washing machine for your home can be a difficult task because of how many different options there are in the market. Many manufacturers use lots of jargon to describe the features of their washing machine, which can make it hard to understand what might be best suited for your home. For example, if your laundry often includes jeans and T-shirts, a washing machine with steam features might not be absolutely necessary for you.

There are also many washers that require the users to learn how to adjust the different settings to choose the type of wash, while others are purely load-and-go. If you might be confused with all the settings, you should consider the GE 4.8 cu. ft. Capacity Washer with FlexDispense. It is a top-load washer with an automatic tide pod dispenser. We also offer many other washing appliances that you might find useful on our webstore.

THE EFFICIENCY OF THE NORMAL AND DEEP CLEAN CYCLES

After testing the appliance by seeing how it fared in removing certain stains, we noticed that the normal and deep clean cycles were extremely efficient. It was found through our tests that the normal clean cycle removed up to 70% of the stains while the deep clean cycle removed up to 74% of the stains. Usually, a good gauge for an efficient washer sees only 50-60% removal of stains, setting this product apart from others.

DIVERSE RANGE OF FEATURES

Other than the efficiency of the normal and deep clean cycles, there are many other features that impressed us here at Woodcocks. We especially enjoyed the soft-close hinges which made the user experience noise free. Furthermore, the washer automatically turns on when you open the lid.
Additionally, there are several rinse options to choose from. The Extra Rinse and Deep Rinse settings help to ensure that any additives from detergent or substances like fabric softener will be effectively removed. There is also the Deep Fill feature, which increases the amount of water used according to the load of your laundry.

STAIN GUIDE

It might be hard to get rid of a stain from your laundry that might require to adjust very specific settings on the washer. However, the Stain Guide on the GTW720BSNWS will help you to choose between several common stains: tomato, wine, blood, grass and dirt. After choosing, the rest of the work will be done by the machine.

DISADVANTAGES

As with any product, there are observable pros and cons. In order to give a fair review, here are some cons to the product. Firstly, the laundry load comes out wetter than we would like. Usually, customers would prefer a washer that can spin out excess water so that you do not have to set longer drying times. Secondly, the detergent pod dispenser doesn’t always work with cold water washes. We found that there were times where the coating of the pods could not fully dissolve when cold water was being used, creating a mess in the dispenser.
